Seasonal Flower Club

Flower Club is returning in 2020.

An opportunity to learn more about growing and arranging British cut flowers.

These courses will enable you to gain and share knowledge and we welcome all levels of experience.

Based at The Flower Tree’s flower farm in Oake, the sessions will be informal and relaxed, working alongside the seasons.

Each session will be 2 hours in length and include talk, demo, refreshments and the opportunity to get creative with our

flowers and take your arrangement home.

Details of the individual courses can be found below.

Courses start in April 2020 and run approximately every 6 weeks throughout our growing season.

For our first Flower Club session we will share some of our tips and tricks of how we grow anemones and ranunculus for cut flowers. You will have the opportunity to create your own hand-tied bouquet and learn how to gift-wrap it.

Saturday 4th April 2020

10.00am – 12.00pm

Our third session is right in the middle of the flower growing year and we will be looking at the resplendent flower of the summer – the rose. How to grow and care for some wonderfully scented varieties will be combined with how to create some gorgeous table centre displays, without using floral foam.

Saturday 4th July 2020

10.00am – 12.00pm

In our second session we will be looking more closely at the different varieties of flowers that we grow at ‘The Flower Tree HQ.’ We will talk about the annuals, biennials and perennials that we grow and any tips and tricks to sowing, planting and picking. The demonstration will include how best to arrange these flowers in a range of different vases.

Saturday 16th May 2020

10.00am – 12.00pm

This session will be focusing on Dahlias and late flowering annuals. You will have the opportunity to learn how we grow dahlias for cut flowers and our favourite varieties. The demonstration will be focused on using dahlias and seasonal foliage to pick, arrange and gift-wrap hand-tied bouquet.

Saturday 12th September 2020

10.00am – 12.00pm

Our final session of the year will allow you to get in the festive spirit. Christmas wreaths and mince pies, what more can we say!

Saturday 12th December 2020
