LOCALLY GROWN
Just outside Taunton at Hillcommon is our farm. We grow seasonal British flowers in 2 acres of flower fields and polytunnels.
OUR COMMUNITY
We grow our beautiful flowers for florists, weddings, and local flower lovers. We propagate annuals, biennials and perennials and grow them into plug plants for fellow flower growers (both large and small) locally and nationwide.
SUSTAINABILITY & QUALITY
We have a sustainable approach to everything we do. Our flower farm is off grid, using solar polar for our flower fridge in the summer and propagating benches in the winter. We are proudly free from air miles, floral foam, chemicals and single use plastic. Our flowers are all propagated from seed or cuttings on site and we create our own compost to improve our soil each year. We care about the details, from providing stunning flowers to building lasting relationships with our customers.
ABOUT US
Founded in 2017 The Flower Tree is a Somerset Flower Farm with over two acres of flowers and plenty of wildlife. We work as sustainably as possible to grow our flowers the way nature intended with no chemicals! The flowers we supply both to florists and to the public are grown and nurtured by our own hands, full of scent and charm and of course extremely fresh.
Our season starts in March with our anemones and ranunculus and ends in November with our Chrysanthemums. During these months the fields are buzzing (literally) with plenty of reasons to visit.
We run informative and creative workshops including ‘Masterclasses in Growing Cut Flowers,’ our more relaxed monthly ‘Flower Club,’ willow weaving, dried flowers, floral arranging and many more!
Between the months of March and October our Field Café is open. Come and enjoy coffee and homemade cake, buy some fresh flowers and plants and have a wander around our flower field (please check social media or sign up to our newsletter to keep updated with our opening times).
